A bespoke website designed and built to help users find their ideal workspace quickly, supported by a private members’ platform to encourage ongoing engagement within each location.
Cubo Work launched its first co-working space in Derby’s Old Post Office building, offering a mix of flexible desks, private offices and meeting spaces in a premium, design-led environment.
From the outset, the business was positioned as something more considered than a typical serviced office provider. The website needed to reflect that, while also making it easy for potential customers to understand what was available and take the next step.
The core requirement was simple: make it easy for users to find a workspace that fits their needs.
The website was built around a custom search experience, allowing users to filter by location, team size and move-in date. Rather than browsing through static pages, visitors are guided towards relevant options based on what they actually need, making the journey from landing on the site to enquiring far more direct.
This approach keeps the experience focused and practical, while still supporting the premium feel of the brand.
At the time of launch, Cubo Work was already planning expansion into new cities. The website needed to handle that growth without becoming difficult to manage or maintain.
A key part of the build was ensuring new locations, workspaces and availability could be added quickly through a simple dashboard, without relying on developers for every update. This allows the site to evolve alongside the business as it grows.
Alongside this, the search functionality and members’ area were built specifically for Cubo’s requirements, giving full control over how they work and avoiding reliance on heavy third-party plugins that can introduce limitations over time.
Beyond the public-facing website, a private members’ platform was developed to support interaction between tenants across each location.
This includes dedicated message boards, an events calendar for each centre, and a business directory to encourage collaboration between members. The aim was to extend the value of the workspace beyond the physical environment and support a sense of community across the network.
The result is a website that balances two key roles.
Firstly, it clearly communicates Cubo Work’s offer and makes it easy for prospective customers to find and enquire about suitable workspaces. Secondly, it provides an internal platform that supports ongoing engagement between members.
The structure and flexibility of the build also mean the website can continue to grow alongside the business as new locations are added.
