My name’s Martyn. I’m a freelance web designer and developer with over twelve years’ experience building bespoke websites, including five years working with organisations in the private education sector.

Alongside my professional work, I’ve developed a long-standing interest in the games industry, particularly in the indie scene, alongside experience contributing game reviews and running gaming-focussed projects.

I now work with independent game studios and developers to design and build websites that support game launches, community growth and long-term audience engagement.

I can help with any of the following:

  • Standalone video game website

From simple landing pages designed to generate wishlists and build early interest, through to full marketing websites that support the entire lifecycle of a title from announcement through to post-launch updates.

  • Merchandise and digital storefronts

eCommerce solutions for selling physical merchandise or digital content directly through your own website.

  • Developer and publisher studio websites

Clear, professional websites for solo developers, indie teams publishers, marketers and PR companies.

  • Press and media portals

Centralised hubs for press kits, influencer areas, key distribution and media resources.

  • Developer blogs and content platforms

For sharing development updates, patch notes, behind-the-scenes content and community messages.

  • World-building and lore hubs

Dedicated sections for expanding game worlds, including character information, timelines, maps and narrative content.

  • Investor and partner microsites

Professional presentations of projects for potential investors, publishers or collaborators, including pitch materials and key project data.

  • Community forums

Although, I’d probably recommend setting up a Discord server instead!

  • Recruitment pages

Dedicated job listings and hiring pages for growing studios.

Much of my commercial work is completed under NDA, but examples of relevant projects can be provided on request.
