Plant BidderPosted on 26th June 2018 by Martyn Locker
Plant Bidder is our biggest and most exciting project to date, and we’re pleased to launch the application having been working alongside the client for a number of months. The website is currently in a beta phase, and we’re continuing to implement new features on a regular basis.
Plant Bidder works a bit like the classified adverts page in your local newspaper, albeit specialising in the sale of plant and machinery.
Sell Your Items
Unlike mainstream competitors, such as eBay and Gumtree, Plant Bidder doesn’t take a commission on any sales; instead charging a fixed rate to list your product for a certain amount of time. The application we’ve built allows us to easily add new pricing tiers and listing durations, allowing the client to customise their offerings based on user feedback – which is imperative in the early days of a product.
Register for Benefits
Basic users of the site can peruse all listed products, and search for products within a specific category or location, however all other functions and features are disabled until you register for a free account. Once registered, users can send instant messages to sellers to arrange a sale, save products that they’re interested in to their “Tracker”, and of course list their own products for sale.
Minimum Viable Product
The application is a work-in-progress, and we’re continuing to support the client with frequent updates as they begin to spread the word to members of the local trade.
